I wanted to play around with an iron on transfer so I found a nest on the internet. I transfered it on to some muslin and made a pillow out of it for my dining room chairs. The eggs in the nest did not transfer so well so I found some buttons and sewed them on in place of the eggs. I'm pretty pleased with them. The muslin was $1.99/yard. I have tons of cording so that was free and the buttons were free as well since I keep all of the buttons that come with new clothes.
